Holmes, Belle (Marriage - 28 Mar 1900)
Mr. Leonard Howard and Miss Belle Holmes were quietly married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Holmes, in the town of Eaton, Clark County, Wednesday, March 28, Rev. W.T. Hendren, of Greenwood, officiating. A few months ago Mr. Howard purchased a home on Court St. It was furnished and made ready for housekeeping on the wedding day, so that the young couple drove to Neillsville and took supper under their own roof.
An interesting circumstance in connection with the wedding is the fact that Rev. Hendren married the bride's parents, during his ministry in Neillsville. The bride is an acceptable addition to Neillsville society, where she had already many friends. The groom is a member of the firm of Howard Bros., well known throughout the county as dealers in farm machinery and implements.
